Are PAL VCD's Playable On Computers In The U.S.A?

Are video compact discs encoded in the PAL format viewable on my computer in the U.S.A.? I am using XingDVD Player to play .DAT files.

Yes, PAL and NTSC VCDs are playable on computers anywhere. Your computer can format the image correctly on your screen and it doesn't care at all which format it's in.

Yup it's true - a computer screen is not NTSC or PAL it has a resolution all of it's own and anything can be displayed on a computer monitor whatever format it is. TV tuner cards are format specific though so be carefull with NTSC video and Pal TV Tuner cards!
