His work is most certianly considered to be classic. He was the very first mystery writer (The Murders in the Rue Morgue) and was the master of the grim and the odd. His grasp on the fundamentals of the melancholy and macabre set him far from other writers, as his expression of ideas and tales of wonderous content proved him to be nothing less than an unbelievable genious. It was his works that set a standard for horror, torment, and fantastic concepts that were previously not seen. Even writers to follow could never match his brilliance.

All Respects and Regards,
