Does the Hexar Classic use more than one battery?

Dumb question I guess, but I have the Konica Hexar Classic and have been using it for years without a problem. Obviously it takes a 6V lithium battery (2CR5) -- but I remember seeing that it also had some small built in battery that would last for five years, or something like that. Is this true? Or is that only for the date back (which I don't have).

If you don't have the instruction manual, you could try calling Konica USA at 1-800-422-1788.

The Hexar Classic takes only one 2CR5 battery.

One battery. The replaceable battery is for the optional dateback. The instructions for the Hexar are notoriously bad (poor translation), and this may be where your confusion stems from.
