Get our Video Disc Recorder and you can record from any sources to make them into VCDs! Contact me for more informations perhaps?

Hi,

I use the pinnacle PCTV rave for VCD making, I capture my old hi-8 tapes using the "vcr" program which comes with the pctv-rave card (s-video plug)

the avi's that are created can be encoded and put on a CD-R directly using nero 5.5!

Works great, the vcd also plays on a stand-alone dvdplayer.

I am now experimenting with a separate mpeg1-encoder: tmpgenc ( http://www.tmpgenc.com/e_main.html ) for better picture quality.

The pctv card cannot do better than 320x240............but if the source (old hi 8 for me) is bad, it's good enough

regards

you can higher as 388 if you turn of overlay while capturing then you can get 640-480 if you want
