Hi There!

does your camcorder have a digital output. in other words, a dv link or firewire. i f so, you can pick up capture cards for digital capturing for quite cheap! well, in UK u can! if not, then analogue is the way. once captured, you can burn the video onto CDrs as a VCD.

try rich's page at www.pcphotovideo.com

let me know

Try this device: http://www.yourvideoontheweb.com/index2.htm

It's a cable that goes from your video camera into the USB port on your computer. No special card is necessary.

The quality is good enough for me.

**I realized I left a few steps off my original reply.**

This method will do what you want to do. The quality won't be the very best, but it's OK for me.

After I get the avi, I convert it to mpeg2 using avi2vcd.exe (freeware) and then I use Easy CD Creator (the VCD wizard).

Hey, if I can do it, anyone can.
