Making "Old World" Crusty Breadgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Bread.com FAQ : One Thread
I have looked all over for recepies for making crusty old world bread, the kind of bread where simply a slice of it constitutes a snack. It should be crusty so that the crust actually crumbles a little and makes a sound when you cut it. Steaming or spritzing with water simply does not do it.
