Oh, I get to ask the question! Been awhile.

Did y'all check out the Meg plagairizing pam thing? Wacky. That girl. She's insane.

Mike - hope you have fun in MN!

Answers

That is about word-for-word plagairism of Pam's entry. That Meg. What a jag. I wish she'd come back.

Mike, that crack about the Depends was some cold-ass shit.

AB, what did the Sims do last night??

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

We're obsessessesed with the MATH Sims. Because they rule.

Al - how's the Arl?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Joh, WriterGirl linked to us. She's clool like that.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

clool=cool=Teri is a dumbass.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

D'oh! Meg took down all her journal entries. All of them.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Shit - when?? They were all up there a week or so ago.

I totally, totally want to email her. Or at least post something in that pamie thread on plagairizers.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

The MATH Sims didn't do anything last night, as I was tooooo tiiiired to play. But they're in for some action today, I'm sure.

Meg won't answer, y'all! I IMed her last week, and there was no response. What's wrong with her?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I'm so mad she took down her archives! Lame.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Lame Meg. She sucks.

I am so sick of this rain, y'all. Rain is not my friend. It is my enemy.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

No. It's Fancy's enemy.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Oh! I wanna post on the abortion thread so so bad.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

It cracks me up that y'all are mad at Meg for taking down her journal. Ya damn vultures! What did you want her to do? Continue fucking up for MATH's enjoyment?

People, I am in the ARL. It ain't right! I'm hating it already. My only solace is I know AB is five minutes away. If I get really desperate, I could even go to Mad Mad's school and have lunch with her. That would be fun.

I'm not even at my desk. There are about 10 computer guys hovering in my cube, drooling over my sexy desktop wallpaper of Greta Gaines, trying to figure out why my machine won't boot up. I'm fairly certain it's because my poor little computer is pissed OFF that it has been removed from its rightful examining room, and will not work in this godforsaken place.

So, I am at another station here in the farm.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Aw, Al! Poor Al in the ARL. Mad Mad would love it if you ate lunch with her. I fear that you wouldn't eat, though. Cafeteria food, yuck.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I'd just take my lunch, like the MOC does.

People, I may have to give up my squishy job. I don't know how I will be able to do it undetected here in the hive. I have one less wall than I thought, so even less privacy than I once believed.

Hate!

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

How can y'all let me be L_L on my first day in the hive? Where's the love, peeps?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I'm here, my peep.

No. You can not give it up. Just, uh, do it sneakily. Or something.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

See. Now I'm L_L. Dammit.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

HAHAHAHAH! I'm at my desk! Is this thing on?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I'm back, y'all. We have a garage door opener! Yay! Maybe the stupid garage door is what threw my back out - hmm.

Now they're saying we might not get warm weather this weekend. Dammit, it's baseball time. I specifically bought the tickets that weren't under cover because the weather was supposed to be nice.

Al, some Francine Reed newbie associate at the firm sent this email out:

-----Original Message----- From: MBA Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2001 10:16 AM To: 'Bernstein, Merrick'; 'camin@kilstock.com'; 'jalan@maxcommerce.com' Cc: CSA; KJB; ASJ; JMM; MR Subject: francine reed

i think sj and I are going to go check out francine reed in the highlands tonite -- great blues singer who used to tour with Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson. anyone interested?

I swear, he thinks he invented Ms. Reed, or something. Whatever. Hipster jag. But yeah, Chris and I will probably go, if the weather clears. She has a Monday night engagement at a place called Fuzzy's near the interstate - I'd like to go there, only because they have kick ass cajun food and it's full of old people.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I mean, I want people to like Francine Reed, because she kick ass, and all, but I don't want to have to fight throngs of East Atlanta hipster jags and their black-leather-pants-from-Banana-Republic-clad girlfriends to go see her. You know? It would be like seeing Francine Reed in Buckhead, and that shit would just not be right.

Shite, mayn.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

But they might go once and not be down with her, but just go to say they went. It'll phase out.

I wonder what the MATH Sims are up to. I'm still miffed I'm dead.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Here's my new goal:

I plan to frighten the people in the new office on a daily basis with my new, aggressive attitude. I figure I'll be here maybe three more months, and I hate it, so I plan to do my job well and loudly and act crazy enough to keep people away from my desk.

What do y'all think?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

No, you're the UNdead. And you can thank Allison for that.

Just remember who cried for you, baby.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Do any of y'all know how I can find out the top-hit web sites? I remember Yahoo having something like that, but I can't remember where it was. Thanks.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Allison - I think that's a fine plan. I'm sure they don't think you're crazy already.

T - I have no idea what you're talking about. Cool Places?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

There's certainly nothing wrong with doing your job well. Doing it loud is just an added benefit.

I reckon AB is off with the Sims. I hope she built a DUMB house.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

You know, no matter what I put as my desktop picture, I always return to Chicken Lippincott, eventually. Chicken soothes me.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I still have Chicken as my wallpaper. There's something about the way she's looking right at you that contributes to the soothing, I think.

I sold my car! Yay!

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Ladies, check your email.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

What can I do to make it be next week already? I feel like I'm going crazy waiting to hear from Chris's last two schools. Imagine how he must feel!

Man, can I make something all about me, or what? Sorry.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Wait - I thought everything was all about me.

Maybe there could be a MOC Sim.

He'll know by next week??

EM-OR-Y!

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I'll chant Emory in my sleep, even though I really want y'all to stay in Texas. But I guess I'll be supportive and shit.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Is there a school choice in Texas?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

No, but there's a Plan B (Worst Case Scenario) that we both move to Austin and start a band and live among the hippies. But that could happen anywhere.

None of the sub plans can be discussed until he hears from the last two schools, and I just feel like he HAS to hear from them next week! I mean, it's April for Lord's sake!

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

But having pets named P-Funk and Uncle Tupelo would make more sense in Austin, than say, Minnesota.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Anything would make more sense outside of Minnesota.

Down with MN, y'all. I haven't rooted openly against any schools, but MN be damned.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Minnesota would be a Very Bad Thing, indeed.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

But it won't happen.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Who knows, though? It could be the one place he does get in and he'll have to go! He will go, too. Sad, sad.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

How long is a phd program? When's his actual graduation?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Well, Allison, I think you're capable of wearing a heavy coat and talking in a funny accent for a few years, don't you?

My friend Jody is marrying a good Luthern boy from Minnesota. Her last name is Johnson. His is the slightly more ethnic Johansen.

Y'all, I hope I didn't make a terrible mistake.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

A terrible mistake by doing what? Reserving the church?

He graduates at the end of this semester. I don't know what the actual day is, or anything. Comps are the last week of April.

Oh, a PhD program takes forever. Like maybe five years. No, people. Ain't gonna go up there.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

one or two years would be one thing. Five on the other hand. different story entirely.

T - you didn't.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Yes, by reserving the church. I don't know if I should tell Chris or not. I mean, I should, I guess, but I don't want to completely freak him out. It sort of freaks me out, but in a good way. And my mom's all conspiratorial, like, "This is between you and me and Lisette - your father doesn't know a thing, and he won't until Chris asks him" - she even pre-dated a check to the parish so that my family is back in good standing, financially. It will be interesting to see how she is when we're actually planning the wedding.

Allison, despite my engagement neurosis, I am a firm believer that everything works out the way it should. And as long as you're available next May 25 to sing Ave Maria, you know.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Did y'all know that John Ritter was married?? I totally thought he was gay, like, in real life.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

John Ritter? Hell no he ain't gay. Sheesh woman.

You should tell Chris. But how I suggested, like nonchalantly, we have the church if we want it type thing.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Yes, that's probably how I'll do it. I mean, we've discussed that date already, and he knows that my mother was going to look into it.

I'm out, y'all. Have great nights. Tell the Sims hello.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

I'm out too.

Have good Thursday nights.
