how come/did only some of his poems were famous and not others?

Not all of his works exemplify good qualities, i am trying to refer with its elements and how the readers relate into it. Quite of his works deal much with misteries that manifest the kind of personality he posessed, in this manner...readers wouldn't like it at all.
