I have to write an essay on Poe, my thesis statement is : Poe was an incredible and sensational writer due to his consequential life. I need help on what i should include in my paper especially on what is and isnt important. Also what actions in Poe's life affected his literary works.

I don't know if this will help but, some of the things in poes life that are often reflected in his works are death and melancholy, some example are "the raven" it deals with the lose of Lenore. and "Annabel lee" which also deals with a lose. Annabel was written about the lose of his wife Virginia. Also he was often times depressed and you can see this in most of his works, because they are filled will death and sadness...so i hope that helped maybe just a little bit.
