I have to do a paper on Edgar allan poe. My thesis is about the reoccuring theme of sorrow and loss in many of his poems. For my three body paragraphs I have chosen "the raven", "annabell lee" and "Ululume." My second set of notecards on annabell lee is due very soon and i am beating my brains against a brick wall. I cannot find anything in libraries OR on the web! Please help me! This paper IS my grade in this honors class. Thank you.

I have sent you a summary of "Annabel Lee" that I hope you find useful. The two books mentioned may be found in your local library but considering the time element, this may prove to be less than practical. The book by Kenneth Silverman provides some very interesting thoughts about this poem but his prediliction for psychoanalysis tends to get in the way of fully accepting his perspective as anything beyond "best guessing". Again, I hope you find it useful.
