i am writing a paper on the simpson's take on poe's "the raven." i was wondering if this reading has any literary merit and whether or not there are things in the text that the animated version may have left out: symbols, etc? any criticisms, praise, etc. is welcome. if anyone has any idea where i might find some articles on the particular simpsons episode i would be very grateful as well. thank you.

The Simpson version of the Raven is indeed quite well done, quoting almost exactly from the poem. Of course it is done cartoonishly it helps you to grasp the basic meaning of the poem.
