Where did Poe die and how? I found a GREAT recording of THE RAVEN on MP3.COM by "The Fires of Hell" it is the best I've heard yet. It's worth a listen.

Answers

To answer the first part of your question, Edgar Allan Poe died in Baltimore, Maryland at a hospital on October the Seventh, 1849. In regards to the second part of your question, I am afraid that there is no certian answer. Poe was found lying on the side of a street on October the Third of that same year, dying four days later, but the cause of death was never established. Some speculations include tuberculosis, rabies, alcohol poisoning, &c., but I am afriad that no one can provide an answer to how the master of the macabre died; the mystery of it only adds to his character.
