NORTHERN RIVERS SUB-BRANCH MEETING AND WORKSHOP

DATE/TIME: SATURDAY 28th of APRIL - 9:00am - 12:00 noon.

LOCATION: Grafton Sth Services Club, Wharf St., Grafton.

COST: $27.50 Members $33.00 Non Members (includes GST)

WORKSHOP: The workshop will be presented by Cliff Coleman M.Sc., Podiatrist (Member of the Australasian Podiatry Association)

Cliff will give a hands on workshop on the systems of the leg and foot with reference to some common pathologies. Workshop will run for approximately 60 min.

Participants will investigate the leg and foot anatomy by guided palpation of their own limbs. Investigations will then be on each other ‘in partners’ concentrating on a) the vascular system palpating pulses, veins and determining pulse rates etc. b) the neurological system palpating common peroneal nerves and superficial nerves of the foot. c) palpate/locate musculo tendon structures by using bony landmarks of the foot. Discussion throughout will target the common pathologies associated with each structure palpated and appropriate referral.

Please indicate if you can bring a massage table. Don't forget your CEU forms to get your 15 pts.
