Anyone hear the dealy-o with the japan earthquake, the plates or what not???

A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck off Japan's eastern coast Sunday, luckily there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The quake struck at 8:28 a.m. about 310 miles east of Tokyo. On Saturday, a magnitude 5.4 quake struck the northern island of Hokkaido. Soon afterward on Saturday, a magnitude 4.3 quake rumbled beneath the western province of Tottori, southwest of Tokyo. Neither tremor caused injuries or damage.

japan is in sesmically active zone the cause of earth quake is subduction of oceanic plate into plate of pacific.so earth quake occured
