transplanting jasmine

greenspun.com : LUSENET : garden project : One Thread

I recently bought a thriving jasmine plant and transplanted it into my garden. I dug a hole just the height of the plant, added some compost and fertilizer, put the plant in and filled it up. I also stuck a trellis in the ground, and tied up some of the stems to the trellis. After a first day, the plant looked great, and after a few days, the leaves started to wilt and brown, as well as the previously white and fragrant flowers. I don't know why the plant is dying or how to save it. Please help!
