Everyone Check your 135mm f2.5's!

Hi all, Just made a VERY interesting observation on my Konica Hexanon 135mm f2.5 lenses

I just checked out both my 135mm f2.5's and found something really COOL!.

135mm f2.5 #1: Serial #:7255517 - Straw Coloured Coating 135mm f2.5 #2: Serial #:7283188 - Purple/Red Coloured Coating (Normal ruby coloured)

Isn't that interesting, I never heard of a non-straw coloured coated 135mm f2.5, I didn't even realize it when I told you till I looked at both lenses. I wonder how rare this is?

Anyone else have a Purple/Red Coloured Coating (Normal ruby coloured) Konica Hexanon 135mm f2.5 lens?

I will definately have to do some test shots now, the ruby coating of the 135mm f2.5 #2 will definately do something different than #1. I know the 135mm f3.2 is ruby coloured as well as many other lenses. Maybe 135mm f2.5 #2 is a finial production run of the 135mm f2.5's?

135mm lens coatings

Hi Mike,

Checked my 135/2.5 and it's the redder colored coating (SN 72689xx)

Both of my 135/3.2s have the same color coatings as the 2.5 (SN 74044xx and 74406xx).

Am I just being paranoid? I am reluctant to give out the complete serial numbers of my lenses on the Internet. Maybe this is silly, I don't know.

Ruby 135

Just checked my 135mm ƒ2.5 #7281942 and find it is the ruby tint. Thanks for the interesting observation.
