imaginary friend: one of his critics says that to Poe one of the most beautiful themes was "the death of a beautiful woman", death 'cause it is a melancholic topic, specially if it is the death of a young and beautiful one. He looks for the elevation of the soul, so he uses sad themes in doing this. regards berty
