anyone else care to join the 'gus and min roadshow'? It'll be a bit like the old Tyneside Exhbition - a variation on a theme. Y'know, we give out stickers and paper hats and stuff and in return, you buy us pints of beer...

Alrite lads n lasses . Clarky seeing as you asked the question first like , im fine . Too many freckles on me head , and the Geordie skin has gone from blue to white to cream . Been here a week and a half now after two weeks travelling through the middle east and Singapore . Plenty of drama on the way , which is no bliddy surprise for me . First country stop was a province called Qatar , which ive since learned do not give tourist visas/entry like they used to . That meant we werent allowed into the country and had to go to Abu Dhabi our next scheduled stop earlier than expected . We visited Dubai for a day and night , and on the way home i was involved in a 250kmh cr crash which saw the victim who was overtaking me on the inside lose control , broadside the three lane carriageway and hit a palm tree in the central reservation . His car split in half and the front part blew up and the back half rolled several times . I was the first on the scene and was amazed to see he was alive and had been catapulted into the back seat . i wont dwell on it all , but it was pretty horrendous and like something out of a Spielberg film . Still im still alive thank Allah so least said soonest mended . Singapore was canny but the weather a bit stormy , which let the sunburn from Arabia calm down . Then onwards to Sydney and staying with some good friends in Randwick . We move to a house in Bronte tomorrow , overlooking the beach with three balconies and a massive Verandah / Barbie ( put another prawn on Roy ) area . Three job interviews already , bank accounts and tax fiddles sorted , so all's well . The only choise ive got to make is which beach to go to next . Weve had days at Coogee , Clovelly , Bronte , Tamarama , Bondi and Manly so far . Game of Glof on a beachside course near Maroubra and done the Opera house , Sydney bridge viewing . Im feeling very at home and relaxed and not missing them Black and whites at all . Seems like im best off out of it . Min send us an e-mail mate , that goes for Loony , Tynedale , Gus , Hiro et al ... lets have a night of it when we play the Mackems and put all this FTM 2-1 to bed once and for all , because its getting very very boring reading it or should i say , ' ahhh fair go mate its only a game of footy , you poms'll fight over anything ' and i make them right . Mine's a schooner of New when yers are next at the bar :-) .

what's the plan.....?

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Get ratted. Celebrate a well fought if not a bit fortunate victory. Then go and find as many Mackems as you can to ram it down their throats. Get ratted some more

Or chuck ya self of the bridge if the worst happens.

-- Anonymous, March 29, 2001

Sounds good to me...;-)

Anyone care to email their home/mobile no so i can get in touch when i arrive?

Y'areet Stinger ? And welcome Min & Guster too when you eventually hit Sydney. It's shaping up to be a bit of a major sesh for the Makems game on Sunday morning then ? Apparently the Manc derby's being shown about 8 pm Saturday, then another live match (which one still TBC), then ours kicking off I think about 2.15 am.

Min/Sting - Feel free to giz us a call anytime on 9360 5901 and we'll get some beers sorted. I think Tynedale Man is off somewhere at present with his pegs who are out visiting. I'll try & talk to him this weekend, but rest assured the Sydney Mags will be out in force for the 21st. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the lads 'n lasses from Canberra & Newcastle put in an appearance either. Watch this space !

Reet then , my phone numbers are 02 9389 6895 and 0401 886782 , im living at Unit 12 Nicolette Court , 13 Langlee av , Bronte , Sydney , NSW . Loony have you still got that footy team going cos ive got 2 of us who want to play ( or take part lets say ) . So Sydney for the mackems on 21st ? Whats the venue ? Saw the Scouse v newton heath game at the Palce in Coogee and looked ok , id prefer somewhere a bit more spit n sawdust like . Been in a canny place at Waverly called the Charring X hotel . Any suggestions , and howay anyone within distance should make the journey , as this is wor cup final this year ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 02, 2001

Bloody hell, there's more northerners than Ozzies out here now. What's the venue for the derby? East Leagues?

Nick

-- Anonymous, April 03, 2001

Where's that then Nick ? And Screach , howay get yourself a job down here for a couple of weeks , i think youve managed to get to every other corner of the world for a match so far this year ;-)

-- Anonymous, April 03, 2001

The East Leagues is in Bondi Junction. There's a few of us get down there to see the match.

-- Anonymous, April 03, 2001

Buzz is that Northern Spirit are in a bad way, Full house for Rangers!! then this season.

-- Anonymous, April 04, 2001

Thanks for the "offer" Sting. But if I come down there, it ain't gonna be for work. So what's new, I hear you ask. Too hot for my fair complexion. Much better here in the Land of the Frozen Chosen.

PS. Hope you're enjoying yersel. Sounds like a buzz.
