50mm Konica Hexanon vs. 50mm Summicron

Does anyone have much information on the optical quality of the 50mm Hexanon for the Hexar RF? I'd be especially interested to hear how it compares to a current Summicron. Thanks.

There's a test of all 3 Hexanon lenses at www.photodo.com, along with tests of the Leica counterparts. I've seen side-by-side slides taken with the Hexanon and current Summicron. As they say, "you can't tell the players without a program". The only thing I dislike (intensely, I might add) about the Hexanon is the 40.5mm filter size. E39 is hard enough to find filters for. B+W do not make (at least I've never seen them sold) their Multi-Resistant-Coated UV filters in 40.5 and I swear by those filters.

B+W will make the filters for you though you will have to wait a while.

Hey, my 40mm Rokkor is 40.5mm too! Nice round number, don't you think? Heliopan has a full range of filters in that size, and I especially love their polarizers. Let us know how you like the Konica lens if you end up with one.
