He's probably only seeing the specialist today so I wouldn't expect the club to announce anything before the end of this week. Trouble is if he is out, we need some striking cover, otherwise we're left with Ameobi, Cort, Lua-Lua and Cordone and Robson hasn't really shown much faith in the last two.

It'll be interesting to see if Shearer is doing his media bit on Saturday for the England match. I'd expect the usual "How's the knee?" question from Hairy Hands Keys!
