UPDATE ON BABY SQUIRREL PETREE!!!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Petree is doing well, he is eating heartily and going to the bathroom well. Plus yesterday he opened his eyes! He is going to be a pickle I can tell, he is already crawling all over the place. We are still trying to find time to post pictures of him on the Countryside Friends Picture Web Site. If you want an old picture of him, I will take new ones soon, e-mail me at evelynv@ipa.net for Kandi (me) or Eve Lyn (my mom). Update soon, Liz Beth

Liz Beth:

That's wonderful. You are apparently a very good surgate momma. If he becomes a year pet, should bring you much enjoyment for several years.

Liz Beth, I'm glad your squirrel is doing well. I don't think you ever told us -- is he a red squirrel, or grey, or fox, or . . . is there any other kind in this country?

Yes, stan it is the same 'stewie' one. Petree drank 9 dropper fulls of milk this evening(in one meal!) opposed to his normal 6 or 7. Joy, Petree is a baby red sqirrel :) See ya'll, Liz Beth

Hi Joy,,you asked about squirrels in US. Yes, there is another kind of squirrel in Arizona,,can't remember what they are called. They have long hair on the tuffs of their ears. They are an average size for a squirrel. I have pictures of them from when I lived in AZ in the 80s. Have to look up their name. (two types of them)If you find them first,,let me know the name,,and I will do the same...:-),,,
