I have a Nikon LS30 that I want to run from my laptop(no scsi card). Does anyone know of a USB-SCSI converter that works with this scanner.

I would strongly recommend getting an Adaptec SlimSCSI PC Card. It's not that much more expensive than a SCSI to USB adapter and you'll get a much higher scanning speed and possibly better quality scans. This is because with USB your laptop may not be able to keep up with the scanner causing the scanner to stop and track back during a scanning pass which can degrade quality.
