OK, it's not a great photo but it's still too slow around here.

And I forgot to close the center tag.

I think this is the sort of image I would take if I set out to emulate your pictures.

There are several interesting elements, but they don't really work well together or in opposition and I'm left wondering why they are sharing a frame. There's some scope for social comment - I liked the 'genuine' and 'city display' - but it's a bit too disorganised (or subtle).

Two people who, if you worked up the nerve to ask them to just stand in front of the camera and look into the lens, would give you amazing pictures....

Nerve is never my problem. I did ask him and he said yes, but mostly he wanted me to shoot the tattoo on his foot which said "The Money Foot." He's a dancer. She said no, although I had already shot this one. Here's a link to The Money Foot, unfortunately, the tattoo is a bit hard to read:

The Money Foot

Here's two other shots of the same guy. Unfortunately, the light was very flat, LA style.

Hmm. They remind me of the sort of thing painters and watercolourists have in their sketchbooks. Impressions grabbed for further perusal, with synthesis to come.
