I would like to see some more episodes that are less machine specific. How about presenting an obstacle or chalange with very little limitation on the types of machines used to conquer them. It makes it more interesting when there are fewer rules.

Jack, there is just such a show: TWO Teams competing in a low-tech environment, overcoming obstacles without the use of machines. It's called "SURVIVOR". This show's called "Junk Yard Wars". They build stuff.

i didn't say without machines. I said make it less machine specific. Such as, you must build a cannon. Rather say to them you must cross this lake lake, here's some crap, now build something to do it.

I came on the website to say the same thing you have. They have done some things like that a bit but could loosen up some. Just give them a couple rules (the Teams that is) like :it has to be steam powered (I think they should give them some rules so a team dosn't just run around the course).
