does anyone know about this new format, ddcd , double density cd, sony and tdk have new burners out that can burn a 1.3 to 2 gig cdr/rw.

will new dvd players/cd players be able to play these if you make a 2 plus hour vcd??? or audio cd?? any one know ??

Yes, I have heard about DD CD-RW. We will need new CD writer and new DVD player to be able to take advantage of those DD CD-RW. I would rather go with DVD recorder.
