hexanon serial numbersgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread |
Hi!Some time ago, someone suggested (was it you Mike LePard?) that we list our serial numbers and lens types, in an effort to see if we can make any sense out of the Konica numbering system.
Here is my contribution - Lenses have either ee or ae written on them. The grip is either metal or rubber. My 40/1,8s have a square/rectangular ae lock button, ( the "r" or "s" before the serial number on my list refers to round or square). One of my 135s, a chrome ring version, has no ae lock button at all.
Other differences between lenses are the size and style of font, and color of glass coating. The year mentioned on my list is the lens first appearance as deduced from my very limited material - a brochure from 1968,1978,1979,1982,1984 and Lou Jacobs book from 1972-1974.

Got my hands on an FS-1 today to replace my busted one; it came with a 40mm 1.8-22 AE, s/n 7511791 (rubber grip, rectangular button).
