BBS Corinthian League Match 5

12 Dec 1999, FACup against Spurs at White Hart Lane, 1-1. A strong BBS contingent roared us on to a well-deserved draw whilst the miserable cockneys closed the bars, their coppers refused to give directions and their "fans" doled out random, cowardly violence and laryngitis. Charvet and Helder did the tight marking for us whilst Shearer and Ferguson exhausted their defence with a titanic aerial battle which set the pattern of the game so strongly that a cunning double substitution of Glass and Gallacher found them unable to step up a gear to meet the new pace on our side. Glass crossed for a super Speed header to level the tie after Iversen had spawned the ball into the net, while Gallacher somehow missed an open goal in the dieing seconds. Best player on the park by miles was Dominguez who was a constant menace.

Huh - kids stuff.

Wow - I didn't know this had restarted. Sadly my Athletico Backworth lads can't be risked amongst these cloggers and are currently representing the honour of the BBS on a tour of South America, China, United States and anywhere else where we can sell a few Athletico shirts and increase the global awareness of the Backworth brand. Also we have to play away as The Stadium of Glory at Colliery Lane is currently suffering from subsidence.

I will happily put out a reserve team at the end of the season to play your champions in a World Wide Intergalactic Club Championship or some some other such grandiose idea - whatever will maximise the TV rights. Usual rules - 45 minutes 1st half, 2nd half to last as long as it takes us to get the winner.

Softie, my legal representatives Fulliker, Fulliker and Fulliker (deceased) will be in touch re the point that I am owed. The recent fall in the shares in GAM from 0.001 to 0.0009999 is due to the lack of confidence in the city given that we are (falsely) in the red. Pence have beeb wiped off the value of the club. Please rectify.

I too am owed points. Three, in fact. I can't afford legal aid, so I'm thinking about retiring and taking up motor racing.
