greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

When i burn my vcd it says it'd done successfully, but the dvd player says there's either nothing on the disc or it's incompatible. What am I doing wrong?

You didn't do anything wrong. The RCA line is not the best for reading CDr media. The red laser can't keep track of the pits. Try burning to CDrw media this will take care of the problem. The CDr that you are using when held up to the light. You can see right thru it. This laser has the same problem :(

If you do have the time and money. Try different CDr media. Your player hasn't found the one it likes yet. Another great site is www.vcdhelper.com go to the DVD player section on the left and when that window pops up. Put in a search of your RCA player. You may find other people how have had luck with their CDrs.
