I've noticed that many posters refer to other forums they contribute too. I'm a little new to the whole forum thing. What are some of your other favorite forums? What do they mostly talk about? What are the people like there? Why are they your favorite?

I go to Hissyfit, Ms. Magazine, and a private feminist forum. At Hissyfit I read more than I post, these days, but occasionally post something in Shopping or whatever. Ms. Magazine is where I hang out, mostly. I live in a very conservative place, so at both places it's nice to be surrounded by people with a mindset closer to my own, and that's mainly what I get out of it.

Since I'm an amatuer photographer, I go to several LUSENET forums.

For Pop Culture, I just use Gwens forum.

For Pop Culture websites, I use Gwentown and Tomato Nation. I'm torn between 2 lovers. If Gwen starts to post Donizetti and W.A. Mozart .wav files, I'll bookmark her URL and never go anywhere else. (her own voice, of course). If Sars would post more road tales and personal experiences in North Jersey/NYC, I would betray Gwen and leave her. I would play my own Bruce Springstein CD's, while I surfed Tomato Nation. I'm from the East, and I'm searching for an "Algonquian Round Table" in cyberspace.

I like hipMama's forums, that's pretty much where I am if I'm not here (make sense?). Occasionally I visit Hissyfit and ChickLit but don't post, and I used to enjoy Mighty Big TV until it started taking my computer *forever* to load their forums.

I love Fametracker. It's fun to rank on celebrities.

I'm a forum addict. Mainly because I think I have ADD, and need something I can do in the breaks I take every five minutes at work.

I'm always over at Mediarama, except it's been down the past two days. When I'm not there I'm here, at Pamie's forum, and at 3WA.

Jeez! It's been like thirty-eleven days since I posted. First of all, HI GUYS! Second of all, this is the only forum I contribute to, although I am such a wannabe contributor - example:

I religiously read the Sopranos forum over at MBTV and I have fantasies about about posting a witty, pith comment that Sars responds to "Damn, SJ, YOU the bomb!" or something. But I've never even registered to post. Laziness or fear of rejection? Who's to know...

SweetJane, if you start posting at Ally McBeal, I'll tell you you're the bomb.

I read Chicklit, which is cool if you like to read or write, and You Grow Girl, which is cool for gardeners and crafters, but I hardly ever post. I used to read Hissyfit and HipMama, but then I just fell out of the habit. It's sort of hard for me to moderate my MBTV forums because I usually just lurk, first of all, and because second of all, I've usually already said so much stuff in my recaps that I run out of stuff to say in the forums themselves.

Oh, and I often peek into the 3 Way Action journal forum, and sometimes I look at Beth's forum. (www.xeney.com) Those are both general-topic things.

I'm a 3WA addict, and I have a newly found love for the Squishy forum. The silly factor is so high all the time so it's a great way to take a breather during the day.
