Pentax 67 meter on/off switch won't switch on

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

Hi,

I've just received a lens to go with my Pentax 67 & TTL meter. I mounted the lens (after the meter) - there is a lot of resistance (is this normal) when I turn the lens into the central locked position. Finally, I can't switch the meter on/off switch on.

I have film in the body. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance,

Hi, if you take off the prism most likely you have to reset the camera to get the meter to function. With the camera facing you it is a dot that you depress of the left side of the front panel. If that doesn't work, take the lens off, and put the lens back on. That should allow you to activate the on/off switch.

It happened to me, and someone showed me the way to get it functioning. Good luck.

If everything else fails, you need to replace the switch. That happened to me a while back. Now its working fine....
