poe looked at love as something beautiful whether it was dead or alive.an example of this is in Annabel Lee. in the poem he describes his wife Virginia as something that he stills has and loves deeply, even though he has lost her and he is once again left alone. At times he also refers to lost love in his Works. Poe was someone that lost alot of his love. but he still wrote about love in this spritual way that made him see love in different ways. i don't know if i'm making sense but i hope this helps. bye
