It's time for the Cherry Blossom Watch in DC

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

The most beautiful time to visit Washington, DC is when the Cherry Blossoms are blooming. So far, it looks like they'll be right on time for the festival this year. It looks like winter is over for DC this year.

If you are in the DC area in the next couple of weeks, don't miss them!

I like to go at night. The colors aren't as obvious, but the park service lights up the area subtly. There's no problem parking at night either. The blossoms seem to glow in the dark!

Oh great! We get a late snow storm in the Shenandoah Valley, I'm paying you a visit, Buddy. Knockin' wood. :)

Be sure to watch the TPC next week. Two reasons - you might catch my mug on the tube......AND......the azaleas and dogwoods are in full bloom down here. Pretty awesome sight!

Wish I could do that picture thing.....

Deano,

It's easy. Just put the URL for the picture inside of a tag like this:

img src="picture URL here"

Of course you have to wrap it in <>. To get the picture's URL, right click the picture and click view image.

Thanks Bud! Will give that a try. Time to take off for the weekend (YAY!!!). Gots a 6:00 game tonight.

The Giants, BTW, have redeemed themselves this week with 2 victories and I must do a lil' braggin' on my boy. After the 1st game debacle, he came back in game #3 against the undefeated Braves and struck out 12 (he had his 'stuff' BIGTIME!) while going 3for3 at the plate. We won 7-3 and are now 2-1. He was much easier to live with after that......:-)

Yall have a nice weekend.....SPRING IS DEFINITELY IN THE AIR!!!
