2. Who should we worship ... what names or attributes of the person(s) we worship?

That's all right Steve....I'll just read your same premises in the monthly newsletter I get from your buddy.

It doesn't sound to me like you have questions....it sounds to me like you have the answers.....thus.....the set up.

Some of your partners have been on here before with the same set up.

Thanks anyway!!

Robin....

Shoot no man.....I'm buying like crazy right now. Anytime I get some extra money....I'm buying.

Think about it.....do you go shopping once the stores raise their prices 20%.....or....do you wait until the stores drops their prices 30%???

Right now....you can buy a lot of stocks at reduced prices....and when it goes up...which it will.....my oh my!!!

C-ya!

Robin....

Don't worry about it....I've been a part of a 401(k) for about 2 years now. I buy monthly....so.....at the time I asked....I was asking if that was a sound thing to do.

Everything I'm reading says it is...and to keep buying.

Thanks for the "heads up."

Faris....

I believe you said you were within 5 years of retirement??

That being the case...you did the smart thing by cashing out and placing in CD's.

On the other hand....I still got....23 years!!(at least).

1) Active effort to grow closer to God. 2) Name = God (or other name works for you). Attributes = all powerful, all knowing Creator of the universe. 3) To grow closer to God 4) Prepare, then wait for the Lord. 5) Whereever you & God seem to connect. 6) Paul say we should "Pray without ceasing."

'Worship' in the New and Old Testaments, from what I've read, is generally used to translate Greek and Herbew words that refer to the physical act of prostration. It helps to keep this in mind when reading the Bible.

Danny,

Have you been off hunting somewhere?..... it has been awfully quiet around here for a while now.... :-)

BTW, I hope you didn't listen to me about putting your money in the Stock Market!! Well.... off to look for some good off-shore investments.... :-)

-- Anonymous, March 16, 2001

That's true... and I agree whole-heartedly.... The only thing is we discussed this a couple of months ago... and now have lost about 10% on that money. Of course, LONG TERM is the mantra... so... everything will be good!

However, would you believe I had been doing some research on 3 mutual funds for about 3 months... and invested on March 7th??!!!! Ouch! I should have told you I was going to before-hand... and you could have held off a week or two to buy even lower!! :-)

Danny & Robin

I think I mentioned to you a few months ago that I would not want to be in Tech stocks or most others at that time. I still feel that there is more adjusting to be done before this thing levels off. I have felt for some time we were in a false economy and that there would be an adjustment. I think we are in it and there is more to come. If I were to invest at this time I would be looking at a couple oil companies, health related items and some of the things associated with defense spending at this time. Since I am old and chicken I still prefer CDs and money market. I would be very concerned with putting much in 401k right now. Dollar for dollar, CDs pay more for monthly retirement income than some of the solid stocks for folks I know.

Faris

PS: If you invest on my advice you are not as smart as I think you are.

Do you guys worship when you buys stocks?

(Returning to the subject at hand...)

Link

Do you consider being a good steward, (worship)?

IF you prostrate while you buy the stock, maybe you can 'proskuneo' while you buy stock.

There are at least two Greek words translated as 'worship' in the NT.

I may have the answers, but, I wonder if others are listening to God, as Link, or men, with their false answers. When I sent this out to pastors, I got little response also.
