400si recently crashed - After taking picture lense remained in stopped down aperature. I could barely see through the small opening. Had to remove- reinsert battery to reset. Then it happened aging and I got "help" message on LED.

Went to several repair facilities - was told that this is a common problem with Minolta Cameras - expensive to fix $150 as minimum.

Anyone have info/suggestions about this situation.
