Boro's spending plans

Middlesborough are some club for buying strikers aren't they!

They've just had a £2.5 million bid for Svennson of Charlton refused now. They bought Joseph Desire job for about the same money. They already have Boksic, Ricard, Deane (Still there?), Job, Campbell (On-loan somewhere) and are in final stages of signing Windass from Bradford!!

If Bobby Robson was manager of Middlesborough he would probably have signed an entirely new squad by now.

Fair play to Steve Gibson for backing his managers again and again but he must see the similarity with chucking money at Dalglish and Gullit and look how well we've done.

Windyass not so much of your up and down striker , more round @ round

Sold Armstrong to Ipswich , his goal scoring record is pretty decent.

Give credit to Newcastle for backing managers too and include Keegan.

As a man how could Bryan Robson live with himself with Venners i/c?

Not much about Boro that you can discuss really, hence spreading out

Talking about buying Cubs - obviously not the Toon - Chelsea don't seem overly concerned about the new regulations. In addition to Von Bronckhurst (Rangers) they are reportedly interested in Marcello Salas (Lazio) and now Clarence Seedorf (Inter Milan) at a possible total spend of some £45-50 million, and I believe Pavel Nedved has also been suggested as apossible singing.

This may be mostly 'paper talk', but it really makes you wonder whether our day in the sun could be well and truly over. Having said that, where on earth do Chewsee get the money to finance this level of spend?

how many millionnaires are there in London? Now, how many are in Newcastle?

I met a guy over here on holiday who owns a 10% stake in Chelsea Village - got one of those £1m boxes as well. He admitted: "i was brought up a Man U fan but why would i want to travel all the way to Manchester every weekend and spend less time with my family than i already do?"

That's where the money comes from.
