Good Morning and HELP. Thought she was cold so put the heater on her. Her crying has persisted all night. She doesnt want to be fed but I mixed a teaspoon of sugar and 20cc of water and fed with a siringe down the throat... she swallowed ok. She seams weak and is still crying but no diareah. ??? where do I go from here? Thanks for all the help God Bless

Do you have mountain laural in your area and does the kid have access to it? Is she foaming at the mouth or vomiting? If so , she will be like that for a day. They usually get over it .

The crying is good. If she is still indoors, she is probably crying because she is separated from the herd and her mom. Personally, I would put here in a pen in your barn, near the rest of the herd and her Mom and put a heat lamp in the pen with her.

Did she get wet and cold? Is there any chance that she might have been stepped on in a barn full of crowded goats? Or maybe slammed real hard against the side of the barn? I would feel her all over and see if touching any part of her body makes her cry more. Though it could be some nasty disease I've never encountered before. Maybe Vicki will know more what to look for and what it could be.

Thanks for the advice from all, her body temp kept falling and we lost her. Didnt find any reason for this other than the trama of going through a REAL BAD thunderstorm yesterday that could have triggered shock and she didnt recover. Thanks again for the help God Bless
