Could you please let me know can i scan negatives and turn them into positives i use an Epson 610 scanner and am using Adobe home edition 3.

Get a dedicated film scanner..Nikon 4000 ED should do it!

does it have an invert picture function?

does the software have a histogram function? line normally goes lower-left to upper-right.

try upper-left to lower-right
