Who are the ordinary "Hero's" in your church or our denomination?

Hi, everyone, I am on the Board of the American Red Cross in my town. And every year we have an award banquet to honor HERO'S in our community that are often times overlooked. The ordinary people, the ones who volunteer and help out without recognition. So my question is who are the ordinary hero's and heroines in your church or in our denomination. It could be the person who makes coffee every week for church, or babsits etc. Also tell us why this person makes a difference. God Bless you abundantly!!

The hereos in my church are the ordinary people who risk being shot at while walking to church. The hereos are those who give their last in the offering plate and trust in God for bread for monday. The hereos are those children whose parents give their all and depend on the feeding scheme at school for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The hereos are the young people who refuse to belong to gangs but rather come to the Allen Christian Fellowship. The hereos are the fathers who chose to serve God than Alcohol and drugs. The hereos are those who depends on the Lord rather that selling drugs and alcohol for food for their families. Those are the hereos in Calvary AME Church,Manenberg,Cape Town,RSA

Pastor Ursula's somber assessment about heroes represents a thoughtful reminder about the difference between what's real vs. what's superficial, true bravery vs. false security, spiritual conviction vs. social conformity. The members of her church in ZA are in fact more than heroes they are in fact living, breathing epistles. To take a stand for faith and righteousness amidst social chaos is truly inspirational. Thank you for your brief but powerful homily on humilty and courage. QED

Pastor Ursula thank you for sharing about the hero's in your church. God bless them one and all. I thank God for you Pastor Ursula for you are indeed a HERO. And not an ordinary hero, for you risk your life daily to provide for your congregation and church. It is an honor to know of you. And we love you!
