Well thats the brief from my source who also happens to be a scout for the toon.

I will believe it when he is standing on the pitch with a shirt in his had getting his picture taken?

Any thoughts on who it could be?

Jay, maybe not for the toon, spending three days with Villa this week, but my gut feeling is that Danielle Prodan is back in biz. He was signed by Advocaat for Rangers, injury , never played , sent packing, has been made capt of his country (Romania) and had a stormer versus Croatia last week. Seen him once, liked him , his experience at Rangers may be a drawback, dosh would be reasonable, est max 1.5 - 2m

Ridiculous. We've never had a real centre half. Game over....

We have Bok - but probably before your time bonny lad.
Phillipe Albert is the best of recent times, although he wasn't really a Centre Half in old money.

Cue the links about thhis lad!

PIET BUTER, agent of Utrecht defender Patrick Zwaanswijk, has confirmed to planetfootball.com that his client desires a move to England. The 26-year-old centre half is rated as one of the best uncapped defenders in Holland and Buter has confirmed that he wants a move to England.

"We hope it is true, we don`t have official contact, but there are rumours and a host of clubs from England are watching," said Buter.

"He might move next, next year or not until five years, but people have spoken and a Premiership club does have his name."

Buter stated that if Zwaanswijk had a choice he would opt for The Premiership.

"No doubt he would like to move to England, he is a typical English defender, he is tall and good in the air, with a very good left foot.

"We will not go to France, Spain or Italy, he would be happy in England."

It is not known which English clubs are interested, but Zwaanswijk`s performances this year have certainly being attracting the scouts to the Nieuw Galgewaard.

Don't trust agents especially ones where 'buter wouldn't melt in their mouths'

Okay I'm off
