clicking of potraits using B/W film

I would like to ask you the combination of shutter speed and aperature settings that you would use to click a potrait of a person from a very close distance in (a) over cast conditions (b) low light without the use of a flash.

Hi! I am also an amateur photographer like you. Remember one thing that there is no such thing as 'perfect' exposure, it depends what you see and what you want to show in the picture. However for average result( mid tone gray) one should keep aperture 2.8 and shuter speed 30(atleast)depending upon the lens(considerig u use 70mm lens) you are using. With 105mm lens use aperture 2.8 shuter speed 60(atleast) and don't breathe in while u press the shuter.
