This was mooted as part of the Toon's masterplan to prevent manure's worldwide domination of the game - divulged after manure released news of their marketing deal with the NY Yankees.
To jog your memories, the 3-part Master Plan was as follows: 1) they're talking to some blerk in Cleveland Ohio, who owns some soccer club there about some form of cooperation. 2) after failing once, they're talking again about buying some bankrupt footy club in Oz. 3) if Bobby Robson is in agreement, they're thinking about another Far East tour during the close season.
