BBS Corinthian League Match 4

Coca Cola Cup, 27 November 1996, the Smoggies live on Sky. We lost 3-1 with Shearer's goal being answered by Whyte, Beck (the original Andersson) and Fabrizio poxy Ravanelli. Another game in the dismal run that convinced Keegan that he would leave the "only club I would come back into football for" (except Fulham). Ouch.

Whilst debugging the spreadsheet I took the liberty of tightening up the scoring potential so everybody will be scoring less goals as it was getting a bit Sheffield Wednesday every week. I'd write to my MP about it if I were you :-)

Hold on a mo. Didn't I win the first match?

Say we are top of the leaguse, say we are top of the league

But can it last? probably not!

Bouncing around in midtable, that's the double U's. Our mission is to attain solid mid-table mediocrity stability. So far so good!

Yippeeee!!!! First point of the season - still rooted firmly to the bottom of the table but at this rate I should be on an outstanding 7 (seven) points by the end of the season - result!!!

God damn my inconsitency....couldn't even beat the bottom team!!

Still undefeated......but I imagine that'll change very soon....

A sparkling win by my lads, but Softie am I still missing the point? (0-0 draw, 1-1 draw, completely knackered next game and now a win).

Sorry Pit Bill, with so few entering a team for another division we will all have to look forward to (no doubt brief) involvement in the Cups.

Softie
How about sticking with just one div but having the bottom four, say, drop out at the end of the season, and have some sort of lottery to let four others in from a waiting list ?

Saying that though, you'll probably find there'll suddenly be enough on the waiting list to run a second div. anyway, assuming it was just apathy on our part that clobbered it in the first place, and not the fact it must be a bit of a pain running even just one div, so two would be a real pain.

Just a thought, you understand, cos I can appreciate the graft that must go into running it as it is, without making another rod for your back by going back to two divisions.

Maybe the response to this will be a good enough indicator.

I am now confident that my team can bounce back from these early upsets, and but for a few dodgy decisions by the officials we'd already have picked up enough points to be out of the relegation zone.

So, no - I'm not nervous yet.

Hovering just above the relegation zone.... looks like I need to enlist the help of Terry Venables. Anyone know his mobile number?
