Man City U17  2 Newcastle U17  4

Two more goals for Richard Offiong gave the U17 side a fine win at Man City's Platt Lane training complex. That's eight goals in six games for the young forward and his striking partner Michael Chopra made it four in three games. The other United goal coming via an own goal from City's Shaun Cartwright.

Offiong opened the scoring after just two minutes before Aaron Labonte put through his own goal a minute later to level. City went ahead on 21 minutes through Croft before Offiong made it 2-2 on 36 minutes. United went in front two minutes before half-time when Chopra made it 3-2.

Cartwright's own goal sealed the victory which was the U17's twelfth of the season (eight defeats and a draw the other results).

Good result for the Under 17's but Pedro mustn't have been too impressed with the Under 19s Forwards who were firing blanksat Huddersfield, who beat us 1 - 0.

There seems to be a problem in that age group, the better ones have moved up to the reserves and aren't really doing too well. The rest of them don't seem to be going anywhere.
