Passports scandal back again.

Daily Mirror has it on the back page that we haven't fully complied with the FA in the passports inquiry. Clubs were given 2 weeks to reply to the FA on this matter and as yet they've heard nowt from NUFC. The Mirror are implying that the club are playing for time. PFA-thingy Gordon Taylor is calling for points deductions for clubs not showing 100% compliance with the FA inquiry. The players most under suspicion are Solano, Bassedas and Gavilan and there are also question marks against Acuna, Cordone and even Lua Lua.

Another thing that's new to me is that when we first tried to sign Bassedas last January he claimed to have 19 caps. Further investigation by the DoE showed that Bassedas has NEVER played for the full Argentina side and his work permit was turned down. Then last summer he 'discovered' an Italian grandmother, got his Italian passport and the rest is history.

When you bear in mind that Chesterfield are looking at a FIFTY FIVE point deduction ( taking them from top to bottom in Div3 ) for financial irregularities then we could be in trouble.

Where did I put that A-Z of Grimsby and Cleethorpes?
