Despite Opposition in Party, Bush to Seek Emissions Cuts

The Bush administration, some influential Republicans in Congress and several big owners of coal-burning power plants have joined in advocating something long sought by environmental groups and Democrats: cuts in the plants' emissions of carbon dioxide.

more Natural Gas use, more profits for Duke and Enron, and this qualifies as a surprise?

I doubt many here actually listen to whitewing radio, but a few of them now are openly opposed to many of Junior's hairbrain schemes now. Wonder how PigBoy(Rush Limbaugh) will spin this one? He loves this issue(global warming).

Some radioguy called Savage(savage-nation), thinks Bush a whimp, a two-faced pandering twit, gee, ya think? Funny hearing the truth dawn on these memes. Hell Bush ain't even a decent Capitalist. Wait till the dimbulbs figure that one out, 2funny.

Bush wants to relax environmental protection? Just as I thought -- he's evil.

What's that? He wants to *increase* environmental protection? Uh, well, just as I thought! He's stupid!

I believe you could tell Doc Droolie everything there was to know about a policy decision, but unless you told him who supported it, he simply *could not say* if it were good or bad. And if Bush supports, it, it's bad *no matter what* it might be. "Thinking" comes so naturally to some people.

Flint, Flint, Flint:

You have lived through this before. New administrators. They must come in and establish their own record. All of this will pass. Then we will know which way the wind blows.

Best Wishes,,,,

Z:

As always, the political winds will blow in circles and eddies and against themselves, with a net direction barely discernable even in hindsight. As one moves too far from the center, the negative feedback forces become irresistable.

What I *have* been through before is the, uh, intellectual process of starting with a conviction, and forcing every observation to fit that conviction. No extreme of special pleading is too outrageous if it arrives properly at the foregone conclusion.

Droolie, I've noticed, makes little pretense of any rationalizations to reach his starting point, prefering incoherent ranting as (perhaps) being easier. So no internal contradiction is too blatant to be drafted into service.

Nice description of the Republican fixation with a one William Jefferson Clinton there Splint! Hey PigBoy says almost daily(that be Bush Limbaugh)..."Clinton did not do a SINGLE positive thing in eight years". Yep, not a ONE, not even by accident Splint!

Look Clown, I know the drill. I know your deal K? Ya you cannot read me. This of course does not stop you from responding we see, ever. Be swell if you might cut the crap(ONCE) and maybe addressed at least ONE of the items in my original response. Not a chance that will happen but one can hope.

There you got a response, have at it but try and be brief for once Splint. Ya we all know...you know-it-all. Hell ya nailed Y2k right? Why would one question the mighty Flint?
