I was applying for a local not a global account and I just knew there was not another Loon on this board. I refuse to change my user name, but thought I'd try one more time and this time it went through. Actually, I did try to register as LOONEY after LOON was rejected, and both went through so I guess I'm a dual personality here. :lol I only followed through on the LOON name though.

I think most folks know me from Abundant Living, but if you don't, I'm 50 and married 28 years with one 24 year old son. I write a monthly newsletter and love gardening. I'm vice president of my city's local garden club. I work part time as a hairdresser and have a small shop inside a senior citizen home. I have a college degree in education and worked for 7 years teaching at a Montessori school. I quit to work part time as I love being home. I enjoy the Internet (big surprise) and visit many, many boards....lurking mostly. I also like to read the news sites.

I have an adorable dog, Buffy and two cats. I belong to a blind dogs e-list and have met lots of wonderful people around the world on it. I am also a brand new great Auntie to the most beautiful baby in the world....Jeffery Joseph!

I support the Canine Companions, Paws with a Cause, and such organizations that teach dogs to be helpful companions to humans with disabilites. i felt at the time that they were the best choices I had.

I love Golden retrievers, had two for while, and my sister still has two, for a total so far of five. The present two she has are 'outsiders' in that they are not related to any of the others. she had the mom and dad, and one daughter, and I had one daughter, and my daughter had a son. but that family is gone now, and maybe soon I can start again.

I am all for supporting the Canine Companions because they use mostly Goldens, seeing as how they are the best dogs in the world. LOL

Glad you got your name straightened out. I was wondering why you didn't go for the global tag though. Be easier all the way around, wouldn't it?

Goldens are a very popular and good breed. My niece has a golden along with two others. She just lost her German Shepherd a week before the baby was born and she is still grieving for him I think.

I originally signed up for a local account and somewhere along the line my identity got mixed up with a global Loon. It was freaky. I was posting away tons of topics before I noticed that her profile was under my name. Bigtime ezboard glitch. It was funny because she was 46 and single and had things in her profile that didn't fit me at all. I was mortified that anyone would click on my profile and think that was me. I now just register for each board separately with a local account. If you use the same name and password you can surf around and post without logging in and out at each one.....so in a way it's like having a global account.

Are there any other night owls around here?

The only one I recognized was Madonna....no clue who the others were.

I love Golden Retrievers! We were going to get one when our little (now very big) mutt came into our lives. It’s funny how things happen.

My board was experiencing a lot of that and I know I lost at least a dozen members or so because of it. Thanks for the welcomes J, Saro, kona, Dottie, Zlady, Beckie. I do try to find time to run around to a half dozen boards or so, but don't always make it. If there are night owls here though I'll be here when everyone else is sleeping.

This Pinky person has pink hair and is a female. Still don't know who she is....probably some famous punk rocker star I don't know.
