Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What prompted the start of this hot topics forum was an email I made to SAR. I had noticed that many discussions have been referring to either this being the end-times or that we are very close it. It has been not just one forum or website, but several over the past couple of weeks. I thought it would be a good topic for discussion.

Please make this a polite discussion with no name calling, just stating your beliefs, opinions, etc and not tearing down someone else's. Thanks in advance.

So how do you feel about this?

Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am split as to how I feel. One thing I think is that many things that have been foretold, as in Native American prophency and other religions, and they seem to be escalating lately. I notice alot of flaring tempers on people that are very staunch in their belief systems. I also have noticed that many sensitive (meaning intuatives) are feeling something is about to happen, things are about to change. We may not know exactly how, when, where or what....bit you have this feeling many of us relate to as the "quickening"

Also, I think alot of fear is generated by unknown factors. We... as a species, tend to fear that which we cannot understand.

So, is this the end times, it could very well be, the end of things the way they were. People sometimes fear change, yet it is CHANGE that moves us out of stagnation.

As to fearing change, I think that is too general.

The human race fears change that is out of its control. Change is a daily, nay, a moment to moment thing that we live with in this dimension.

It is the change that is out of our control that we fear. i.e. the sun dying, suddenly be surrounded by alien space ships to numerous to count; a suddenly allergy to the planet; or the planet to us; major sudden earth changes like volcanoes we thought were lifeless suddenly active, unknown volcanoes erupting, earthquakes in unheard of areas, storms moving to fast and furious for us to get out of the way.

It's the stuff out of our control that we fear. And we can easily get ourselves worked up over that, instead of realizing that no matter what, if it happens, it happens. This existence came without any warranty or guarantee. Live with it.

Maybe we just fear accepting that there is no warranty? hmmm.....

Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, according to ancient Mayan prediction, the end of the world will be on 12/23/2012. Uh Huh. Here's one link in that regard:

www.criscenzo.com/jaguar/endcount.html

Here's another link foretelling the end of the world and the many various ways it could happen:

srd.yahoo.com/goo/Mayan%2...ldend.html

Just scroll down and read about the various possible scenarios.

What do I believe? I believe we will ultimately destroy each other if relations between major world powers don't improve ASAP. If we don't destroy each other by war, we certainly are treating our planet poorly enough for it to rebel. When will the end come? I wouldn't want to venture to guess. One note of interest ... all other Mayan ancient prophesies have come to fruition ... have happened ... pretty much when they said it would happen.

Food for thought.

Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dot, I have heard this about the Mayan calendar ending in 2012, but Nostradamus has quatrains into 3000 something.

I think there will be a change, but I don't think we are in endtimes. Of course I suppose we should define endtimes. To me that is the end of the world - period full stop.

We may be approaching the end of the world as we know it, but I believe life will go on in some form. Like Sar, last year I was very fearful, but after 'surviving' the last couple of years, I know that I am as prepared as I can be for whatever is to come. Not that I have any idea what is to come.

Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree with you all, that even though it may be "TEOTWAWKI" I don't think it is going to be Nuked, or blown up, or burned up.....I think something about to happen, but I see it as a travarse...and on the othr side of "it" will be a great cleasning, and peace.

Also, I just can't "fit" et's into fallen angels, but I can be most wrong here, I am still trying to come to decide what I think as I weigh evidance and personnel experience.

What do you think the ET's are?

Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yep, Becky. I see what you mean ... an "end" of things as we know them ... yet a continuation in a different respect. But how? I don't know.

Sue, I'm not sure what you mean regarding your question about the extraterrestrials. Are you asking if they're here and what form are they? Sorry ... could you rephrase please? Thanks.

Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dottie, I am in another "world" like "out there" for some reason...anyway...what Imeant was...just lately I have heard that some think that ET's are really "fallen angels" from the Bible, I had never heard that idea before, but in the last month I've heard it about 4 times......I am still gnawing on that thought!

I never thought of that before...I mean....why would "demons" need dna samples?????? they are non-physical beings! why would they be interested in genectics?????

DOTZAP Our Miss Sunshine posts: 352 (1/18/01 9:17:04 am) Reply | Edit | Del Re: Are these the end-times? Why or Why not? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sue, I am in agreement with the last part of your post. I really don't think that ET's are "fallen angels" at all. If anything, they are beings from another world or another plane of existance and have found a "window of opportunity" (or made one) to enter this plane.

I don't really have much thought about ET's when it comes to the "end times". I just don't see the connection. After all, ET's have been around for as long as recorded history ... Like the Egyptian wall painting and even cave drawings. That's why I don't see them as having anything to do with the "end times". Does that make sense?

You know I have heard it proposed that ET's are NOT ET's at all, but merely US frmo the future after we diddled around with our DNA and THAT Is why they are here, trying to fix what went wrong as they can not 'feel' emotions anymore and do not understand fear, or love or hate.

I have heard of the fallen angels theroy but I like this one better-just kinda made more sense to me-but then since there are several TYPES of reportedly seen ET's the ones I refer to are the greys, the common ones most think of when thinking of ET's.

Endtimes? Yes and No...I think a asteriod or comet is eventually going to do our palnet and mankind in if we don't do it first, but I don't feel so scared as I used to now that we got past 5/5/2000 you know? That grand conjunction had me really worried!!!

Great topic and I hope no one is offended by my thread about Bill Maher-the reason it hurts so much is this little boy right here-he cannot defend himself nor comprehend what was aimed at him and all others like him, but as parents its our duty to fight for our kids!

Hope you like this pic-its my favorite!
