Lenders recovery of possession

Can someone please tell me what is a lenders recovery of possession of a mortaged property due to repayment arrears and what is the process that a lender should follow to pursue such a course of action

Sorry, I didn't get time to finish my post above. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was being tetchy. Truth is, I'm no expert, but:

There's been an awful lot of people visited these pages over the years and you'll find that Lee has condensed their experiences, and the relevant law, and tried to make sense of it, in 'Arrears' and 'Repossession'. I should also have added that if you scroll down thruhg this Q&A board you'll see a lot of useful and supportive stuff on repossession issues too, including opinions on the correct and required procedures. For example, arrears can apparently be paid off over the lifetime of the mortgage, rather than in one 'hit', I understand from reading some of these posts.
