Big Apology (Re: Deleted Thread)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I appologise sincerely for the commercial nature of the posting. I didn't want to upset anyone but thought that members of this list might be able to benefit some of the smaller local charities that they may know of or work with - the ones that usually need the most with fundraising ideas.

I will refrain from posting similar announcements in the future.

Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely

John Getson

Response to Big Appology

Heaven's John,

Most everybody who post to this forum is selling or prostituting in some form or other.

A very few have, or have lost any preparedness for tomorrow. Very few will make the effort to help a cause or an individual. However they are experts at negativism. Many are well educated and yet they're lost souls..

Very few times do I get into the "How righteous I am and How dare you to even think of critiquing me attitude's".

No, I am not a preacher..Just and old homesteader in the modern world.

Thank You for the link. I placed it in my favorites.

Yours in Christ Sincerely, JR

Response to Big Appology

John! I Agree with JR. I'm all for help'n out anybody however I can. If it calls for a little advertis'n then why not? I don't mind read'n other peoples stuff as long as it doesn't contain filthy language or hateful tearin down of folks character. Thanks for the info. Matt.24:44

Response to Big Appology

John, I missed your original post, but I agree with the others that there is too much negatism. If someone is not interested in a post, why don't they just move on? I certainly see stuff from time to time I disagree with or am just not interested in. We're not all alike. That doesn't mean we need to be ugly with one another. It's a forum, for goodness sake, aren't we supposed to be able to share different ideas of interest as long as it's not offensive?

Response to Big Appology

Who is going to be the judge of offensive? Sexual related may or may not be offensive. All religious content, depending upon the beliefs of the reader, can be offensive. It is simpler and will cause less trouble just to ban ALL commercial advertizing.

Give me a break. Ya'll know what is offensive.

-- mary, texas (marylgarcia@aol.com), March 09, 2001.

Yes Mary, I know what is offensive. I consider any thing religious OFFENSIVE, but am willing to put up with it as long as the title is CLEARLY labeled religious.

OH WOW COOL. A religiously devout athelist.

Please refrain from.... How trite

James..

I do stand corrected.
