Update from the infirm

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Hello all - missing you all lots. Just thought I'd let you know that all is OK but I have agreed to convalesce at me mam's place in Durham. I generally love the idea of a break in God's Country but me home town is about 50-50 Mag/Makem. Groan. However, it's very close to the training ground so I might manage to get over there (if me mam will insure her car for me to drive it for a wee while) and also, it means that I will still be able to make the home games. Woo hoo. Just reading all your postings to find out what I'm missing. Take care y'all.

Glad to hear you're doing ok, Dougal! Just be careful not to breathe any viruses on the players when you go to training. Don't need any more of them out of action. ;-)

Dougal, been waiting my chance but the ward cybersister would only allow two visitors a time and once that Bliddy pit Bill gets registered onto the grapes and lucozade I miss my slot. Take care, look after yourself , enjoy your Mam`s cooking and that fine bracing Derwentside air.

Oops - got me threads crossed! Bliidy AP didn't update so I didn't see this one. So you're thinking of driving yer Ma's car? Glad I'll be oot o' the country for the next 4 weeks! GWS.

Dougal glad to hear to that yer deein well from whatever it was that was ailing you. Screach do you have to leave the international terminal to get to the domestic one or do you make the transition without going outside??

Good to see you back, Linda and glad everything went well.

Never mind you breathing viruses on the players.....with our unhealthy lot, it's more likely you would catch one from them !!!!

Enjoy your rest...make the most of it and really relax. (I'm seething underneath with envy !)

Look after yourself and hope your recovery rate is better than most of those presently languishing on the physio's bench.

I'm confident you'll be back before Carl Cort petal.
Take it real easy, and be sure to avoid any briefs - if you know what I mean. ;-{)

Thanks for all your good wishes everyone. You're all lovely. I'm now installed at me mam's and learn that work have signed me off for FOUR fecking months. While a protracted break sounds nice, I want to be back at work. I have some blood tests etc to do and all sorts of general faffing around with doctors but there's not much else to do in Consett. I'm in the Toon today and will be in touch with the Toon- based lads and lasses about meeting up for beers! Take care y'all and I'll be in touch soon. Will deffo be in Newcastle for the Boro game!
